Transience and texture trilogy

The Transience and Texture Trilogy is a three part analog and alternatively processed video, sound, and textile series that explores universality, time, and memory through the lens of nostalgia, change, and death under the shadow of the holidays, with a focus on visual and audible texture.

Inspired by the idea of ghost hunting as an art practice, the Transience and Texture video trilogy was originally conceived to be debuted in installation fashion in an intimate home setting. On July 11, 2024, it was installed in immersive, hide-and-seek format in the home where the first video of the series, You’ll Regret It, was filmed. Titled, If Mom Says No, Go To Grandma’s, self-led, small group tours utilized only a flashlight to find their way through the installation in a pseudo-haunted house fashion, engaging sight, smell, hearing, and touch. The films have been shown at the Queen Rose Art House and Nightmares Film Festival.
